About Tokarev Holsters

Tokarev holsters can be divided into four categories by use: Duty holsters (worn by police uniformed officers and security), Tactical holsters (worn by military, security and law enforcement), Concealment holsters (worn by peace officers, private persons) and Sporting holsters (worn for shooting sports, hunting). Choosing the proper Tokarev holster for your handgun is just as important as choosing the right handgun to fit your needs. Now is not time to get cheap, your Tokarev is only as good as the ability to bring it into action when necessary. Just as in handguns, all Tokarev holsters will not fit every need or situation that may come up.

Tokarev holsters are manufactured in a variety of materials including leather, nylon, kydex and in a variety of combinations. Carrying on the strong side hip is considered to tactically be the best way to carry your handgun. Carrying strong side on the outside although is the fastest to acquire it may not be as concealable as an IWB (in the waistband) strong side carry. Other popular choices of Tokarev holster are: shoulder holster, ankle holster, small of the back, fanny packs and other off-body carry options. It is also advied to check available holster options when you plan to purchase a new handgun. No matter what kind of Tokarev holster you are looking for, we will help you find it in best quality and reliable price here.

In 1930, the Revolutionary Military Council approved a resolution to test new small arms to replace its aging Nagant M1895 revolvers. During these tests in 1931, the potential of a pistol designed by Fedor Tokarev TT 33 was noted. A few weeks later, 1,000 TT-30s were ordered for troop trials, and the pistol was adopted for service in the Red Army. But even as the Tokarev was being put into production, design changes were made to simplify manufacturing. Minor changes to the barrel, disconnector, trigger and frame were implemented, the most notable ones being the omission of the removable backstrap and changes to the full-circumference locking lugs. This redesigned pistol was the Tokarev. Most TT-33s were issued to officers. The Tokarev was widely used by Soviet troops during World War II, but did not completely replace the Nagant.

When you are purchasing a Tokarev handgun it is advised that you check into the availability of holsters for the model you have chosen. It does no good to get a great deal on a handgun only to find that the industry just doesn't make a good variety of Tokarev holster styles for your handgun. If you are not interested in a form fitted holster and a universal nylon holster is all you want, it doesn't make a difference which Tokarev handgun purchase, as long as it is a quality handgun. Tokarev holsters are manufactured in a variety of materials including leather, nylon, plastic, kydex and in a variety of combinations.

Carrying strong side on the outside although is the fastest to acquire it may not be as concealable as an IWB (in the waistband, inside the pant) strong side Tokarev carry. Conversely should you spend most of your day sitting in a car the seat belt will get in the way of a clean draw and the IWB will get very uncomfortable.
